Receptionist

We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join the team at Galpins.

You will be the first point of contact for all parties dealing with Galpins and as such your role will include:

  • Greeting clients and guests;
  • Answering and directing all incoming calls;
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining staff calendars;
  • Incoming and outgoing mail, including preparing client correspondence;
  • Processing client payments and preparing daily banking;
  • Preparing meeting rooms for staff and client meetings;
  • Managing and maintaining office supplies & stationery; and
  • Other reception and admin duties as required.

Applicants should have the following experience:

  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service;
  • Handle telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, completing them to a consistently high standard.

Accounting Support 

We are currently seeking a new staff member to join the Accounting Support team at Galpins. 

Working closely with the partners and providing administration across the firm your role will include: 

  • Liaising between accountant and clients to coordinate additional information required, appointment scheduling, job completion etc;
  • Liaise with external parties such as the ATO, banks, solicitors;
  • Preparing BAS;
  • ATO lodgements- this will include BAS, PAYG and tax returns;
  • Establishing new companies, Trusts and SMSFs and completing associated registrations (ABN, TFN, business name, Return to Work SA etc);
  • Data entry and database maintenance;
  • Collating financials including preparing minutes for Trusts and SMSFs; and
  • Assisting reception as required and general administration tasks. 

Applicants should have the following experience: 

  • Experience in prioritising work flows from multiple team members;
  • Ability to complete work in expected timeframes;
  • Highly organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • While prior experience working in the finance / accounting industry is highly desirable, it is not a requirement in applying for this position.
